How Do Nordic Track Elliptical Cross Trainers Stack Up Against Other Brands

Nordic Track elliptical cross trainers are manufactured by the company bearing the same name as the products. The firm became a subsidiary of one of the largest manufacturers of exercise equipment in the world, Icon Health and Fitness, after the original Nordic went bankrupt.

The Nordic Track elliptical cross trainers are grouped in the middle market category, with prices ranging from $600 to $999. Some of the models distributed under the brand are the CX 925, CX 990 and the 1055. Sadly, all these models have received quite a number of low quality ratings from both product reviewers and consumers.

The ellipticals under this particular brand are mostly known for poor quality components, with breakdowns and loose parts as the most common complaints from users. Despite being in the business for quite some time now, the brand is still not able to make adjustments on its products’ weaknesses. Primarily, it is the materials that made up the whole machine that cause problems.

In comparison with other ellipticals in the mid-range market, Nordic machines are still able to attract quite a number of buyers. This is because the brand offers machines that are priced reasonably; or at least, for those who are not willing to spend more on a home exercise machine. But in its own category, the Nordic brand is outsold by Horizon and Proform ellipticals.

Although the brand has earned negative reviews, there are still aspects of the product that are appreciated by consumers and reviewers. According to some reviews, the product is easy to use and its power incline feature is one of the best in the market. The power incline feature allows the user to adjust the resistance and the angle of the incline through the console, providing the user with several options in terms of choosing the appropriate level of workout.

Consumers who have bought the product have complained about the difficulty of assembling the machine and the poor quality of the parts which leads to breakdowns after only a month or two of use. But the fact remains that the product is still one of the brands considered by those who are planning to buy an elliptical machine. Why? Because the brand’s price is what most of them can afford.

Relative to its price, consumers cannot really complain much about the service provided by Nordic Track elliptical cross trainers. If they want something more reliable, then they have to up the ante and look beyond the middle market range of ellipticals.
