Elliptical Machine Ratings: What Brand Is on Top

Most elliptical machine ratings are focused on stability, features, durability, service, warranty and prices relative to the product being offered. Since the market has been practically overcrowded by hundreds of brands and models, reviewers have not found it easy to rate every single product. Majority of those that have been rated have also been graded by consumers through feedbacks and testimonies.

In elliptical machine ratings reports, the brands that scored the highest are mostly those that belong to the quality and premium markets. This is not surprising given that the reason for a higher price on any product is higher quality and better service. Let’s consider how product reviewers and consumers have rated some elliptical brands.

At the top of the rating ladder is Precor. The models from this brand are mostly offered in the high quality and premium markets. The products of Precor range in prices from $2,000 to $4,199. The prices seem scary, but consumers and reviewers are almost unanimous in their praises for this particular brand. Some of the models from Precor that received exemplary ratings are the EFX 5.23 (which happens to be the most expensive Precor model to date) and the EFX 5.33. The EFX 5.19 and 5.17i are also highly rated and both are worth $2,599.

Another premium brand that has earned the confidence of consumers and raters is Life Fitness. The brand’s X9i model is a favorite among reviewers. It costs $4,199. Other Life models in the highly rated category are the X5i, the X3 and the X3i. Smooth also received high ratings for its premium brands, with the CE 7.4 model taking the highest rank.

Meanwhile, in the mid-range and lower level markets, the more popular brands are Horizon and ProForm. These brands have not exactly received perfect ratings, owing mostly to consumer complaints concerning components quality and durability. But in relation to their products’ prices, these models can be considered reasonable buys. Since most products from these brands are priced below $1,000, one can hardly expect these ellipticals to offer the same quality and service as those offered by premium brands.

Elliptical machine ratings are based mostly on testimonies from owners and product reviewers’ studies. This means that they are not one hundred percent accurate since it is impossible to cover all brands and examine all models. It would be a great help, particularly to those who are planning to purchase one of these machines, if elliptical owners would write their own feedbacks and post it in the Internet.
